  Benefiting from the strong overseas educational resources of the New Oriental Education and Technology Group, in August this year, 19 new teachers, 10 foreign and 9 Chinese, joined the New Oriental Academy family. The majority with Masters’ degrees, they come to us from top international schools around the world and include elite and senior teachers who have taught at top world international schools. They even include a chief examiner from the International IB Program.

  The IB program has been recognized by the global education community as a high-standard education program. It is recognized by many global universities and colleges as one of the most well-known curriculum systems in the world. Currently, thousands of universities accept IBDP graduates, including Oxford. Cambridge, Harvard, Yale, Stanford and more.

  Becoming a proven IB teacher requires not only having a solid academic attainment, but also an international vision, international teaching experience, and an ability to combine advanced education and teaching concepts with the prevailing local education system. A teacher may be a good IB instructor, but in order to become a subject examiner, the requirements are even more stringent.

  The teaching staff at New Oriental Academy is diversified and international. At present, the campus has three categories: local teachers, teachers who have returned from overseas teaching posts and foreign teachers. 70% of them have masters’ and doctoral degrees.

  The local teachers graduated from the 211, 985 domestic colleges and universities, and have many years of work experience. They are trained to fully combine Chinese and Western cultures in their subject teaching, and to carry out specialist teaching in Chinese humanities, history and the inheritance of Chinese classics. Returning teachers have obtained masters’ or doctoral degrees in corresponding disciplines in mainstream universities in developed countries.
